IPL SKIN REJUVENATION
The difference between IPL and laser treatment
IPL is similar to laser treatment, however the laser focuses only one wavelength of light on your skin, while IPL releases light of different wavelengths, such as a photo flash.
IPL light is more scattered and less focused than lasers. IPL penetrates to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without damaging the upper layer (epidermis), so it causes less damage to your skin.
The pigment cells in your skin absorb light energy which is converted into heat. The heat destroys unwanted pigment, fading freckles and other blemishes on the skin. Or, it destroys the follicle to prevent hair from growing back.

IPL skin rejuvenation - what it does
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light.
It is a type of light therapy used to treat wrinkles,
stains and unwanted hairiness.
You can use IPL to minimize or remove:
hair on the face, neck, back, chest, legs,
under the armpits or in the bikini area
age spots
sun damage
spot
stain
varicose veins
cracked capillaries on the face
rosacea
Before treatment, should you avoid:
direct sunlight
solariums
waxing
chemical peels
collagen injections
medicines that increase the risk of bleeding, such as aspirin and ibuprofen
creams or other products containing vitamin A, such as retin-A or glycolic acid
The results usually develop gradually in the weeks after treatment, although you may notice a difference even after one photorejuvenation treatment. The treatment improves the overall tone, color, evenness and texture of your skin, making it softer, smoother and more youthful.
How to prepare
Before your IPL treatment, you will be examined by our skin care specialist and told what to expect. Let her know if you have any skin conditions that could affect your recovery after treatment, such as inflammatory acne or eczema.
Your skin care specialist may recommend that you avoid certain activities, medications, and other products for two weeks before the procedure.
